AFCON BEST ADS!

We really like ads, if you haven’t noticed so far.

Egypt surprised the whole world with the mind blowing opening of the AFCON, whether it’s the organization, the decorations, or the performances, everything was just perfect leaving everybody all around the world mesmerized.

But before the opening, a lot of companies have launched their campaigns that made Egyptians even more hyped up about the championship than they already are.

So here’s our (and by our I mean me) top 5 AFCON ads:

1- Orange:

Seriously, you can’t help but dance whenever you hear “BENRA2AS MEN 57”.

Orange went beyond with their campaign by mixing nostalgic elements with modern-day football stars. It’s a very well done ad, and hopefully, “man3melsh zay za2eer”.

Worthy to mention that Orange removed Amr Warda’s part of their round of 16’s ad after his whole incident. Well done, Orange, well done.

2- Coca-cola:

Leaving aside the endless fights between Talta Shemal and Talta Yemeen and bringing all Egyptian football fans together to support their national team? Smart. But Port Saied’s El Masry? Not very smart.

Nevertheless, extremely catchy and electrifying song tho!

Also worthy to mention that the ad is inspired by Coca-cola’s latest “Bet2olha Ezay” campaign.

3- Pepsi and Chipsy:

A very creative collaboration, and clearly the players listened carefully to the fans’ sarcastic advices, especially Trezeguet!

Well played, Pepsi and Chipsy!

4: Etisalat:

“EL HABADABADABADIM”

Etisalat has been releasing teasers about their ad long before other companies did, yet honestly, it could’ve been better.

Aside from the song lyrics, we expected a lot more from Etisalat in regards of production and execution.

Oh, and what does Amir Karara have to do with football anyway?

5- Vodafone:

Very cute heartwarming shit but SERIOUSLY, ENOUGH WITH FOCUSING THE SPOTLIGHT ON FA5R EL 3ARAB ONLY.

And Amr Diab’s “bel hob etgam3na”? not very relatable to a lot of people tho.
