DOWNTOWN CAIRO TURNS INTO AN ART GALLERY

D-CAF is coming to town!

If you’re an artsy person, you may know that already, but if you aren’t, you may wonder what it is.

Well, Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival, or D-CAF for short, is Egypt’s first International multi-disciplinary contemporary arts festival. Where Egyptian artists, and artists from all around the world come to perform and display music, plays, visual arts, films, and art installments.

What’s so cool about D-CAF is the way it places art performances and installations throughout Cairo’s Downtown. You’ll find performances in alleyways, historical buildings, rooftops, and even storefronts. And that makes the audience and the artists connect with the city in a different, but more aesthetic way.

D-CAF aspires to be the most important annual Arab art event, to create bridges between artists, and give them a platform to showcase their art to their fans. And we can’t help but fall in love with their vision and support it as much as we can.

This year will be the 8th edition of D-CAF, and it’ll take place from 29th of March to 21st of April. We urge you to check it out.

So, book your ticket, grab a friend, and go see some art!
